TAEKWON-DO SPANISH HISTORY
In 1.965 Yong Hoon Cho, (student of Gral. Choi), introduce TaeKwon-do in Spain.
In 1.969 Korean Self Defense (Taekwon-Do) department is created into Spanish Judo Federation; official member of International Olimpic Comitee.
In 1.980 World TKD Federation appear and produce a change of style in the students of TaeKwon-Do due to a supposed disappearance of ITF.
In 1.984 and after an intense search Mr Mario Pons Botella introduces ITF TaeKwon-Do again in Spain and he registers the Spanish TKD Association, being recognized by the International Taekwon-do Federation (I.T.F.) with headquarters in Vienna.
In 1.986 World TKD Federation separates of Spanish Judo Federation, having its own Federation recognized by the official Spanish statments.
In 1.987 Mr Juan Ferrando is elected as President of the Spanish ITF Association.
In 1.988 Spain participates for the first time in the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
In 1.989 Spanish I.T.F Asociation organized the first National Championship in Alicante.
In 1.989 Mr. Luis Báguena Salvador is elected as President of the European TKD Federation.
In 1.990 Spain participates for the first time in the European Championships in Davos, Switzerland and in the same year it participates with a complete delegation in the World Championships in Canada.
Starting from this year the international participation becomes frequent:
1.991 European championships, Reading, London.
1.992 European championships Koszalin, Poland.
World Championships Pyongyang, North Korea.
1.993 European championships, Holland.
1.994 World championships, Malaysya.
1.995 European championships Colon, Germany.
1.996 European championships Ricione, Italy.
1.997 European championships, Slovenia.
World championships, Russia.
In 1.998 it is registered the Madrilenian ITF Asociation in the official statmens.
In 1.999 and lapsed 10 years of operation inside the Spanish TKD Association, a group of Associations decides to separate and to conform a new National organization in search of a better operation.
In 2.001 it is registered the F.I.T.A.E Asociation.
In 2.002 it is registered the Canary Islands Asociation (A.T.I.C.) and Mr Diego Bua Garcia is democratically elected as president.
In the same year it is registered the International Taekwon-Do Federation Spain “ F.I.T.E” , and Mr Carlos Martin Requejo is democratically elected.
F.I.T.E is recognized officially by the I.T.F. presided by Master Choi Jung Hwa 8º Degree (General Choi Hong Hi Son´s) |
